Our latest project with long existing client Convergent Wealth Advisors was to produce an announcement for their recent move to a new office location in Potomac, Maryland. After exploring a few conceptual directions — one playing with the fact that the move was only a stone’s throw away from their previous residence — we found potential behind the play on numbers of the addresses. Moving from 2600 to 12505 allowed for a playful spin on the typographic nature of the numbers. By setting them in the context of a manual tally counter, the number forms became a graphic expression of movement, ultimately depicting the phrase “We’re switching things up.”

Some of the most common challenges us designers are faced with is taking something that is commonly very cut and dry, such as the moving announcement, and tailoring it to the task at hand. By rethinking the execution of such pieces, the deliverables for our clients become stronger hence making our work much more rewarding.
